Anthony Edwards — off series television for what seems like a lifetime (a short one at least, or, specifically, 10 years) -- will return to series television in the ABC midseason drama, "Zero Hour." ABC just announced, along with a handful of other key midseason changes (see below), including Dana Delany's "Body of Proof"...
Edwards' series has been in development for a while but was not picked up for the fall — neither a good nor bad sign necessarily — but now has a launch date. ABC also set the return for "Body of Proof."
Edwards' last series? "ER," of course, which he left in 2002.
"Zero Hour" is a thriller about a man whose wife disappears (more information below and clip.). But ABC seems to be much higher on the other big drama newcomer "Red Widow," which gets a two-hour Sunday send-off. That one stars Radha Mitchell, the Aussie actress not well-known to TV viewers on this side of the bigger pond (she was in "Melinda and Melinda.") Melissa Rosenberg, the "Twilight" trilogy scribe, does honors here.
Here are the key midseason launch dates, with ABC descriptions .?.?.

It’s a world from which she and her sister Kat always wanted to escape, though they never quite did. But when Evan is brutally murdered in their driveway, everything changes. Marta’s first concern is to protect her children — and yet when FBI Agent James Ramos promises Marta justice in exchange for her cooperation, she cannot go against the Bratva code.
