Olive branch extended. Olive branch accepted. NBC chief of late night Doug Vaughan gave Michele Bachmann her formal apology in a call late Wednesday. This, of course, is the fall out from that "Lyin' A-- B-----" song intro by the Roots on Monday show. Per the AP which spoke to her spokeswoman, Alice Stewart: "He was extremely nice and friendly and offered his apology, and she accepted it," Stewart said, adding that the comedian said he was unaware the band planned to play the song. "It's just unfortunate that someone had to do something so disrespectful."
Nevertheless, she told a radio station that apology should have come from someone higher up - like the head of NBC...and so it goes:
