Lifetime goes back to the '90s in October with two telefilms about era-defining TV shows.

The cable network announced Wednesday that "The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story" and "The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story" will run on consecutive Saturdays, Oct. 3 and 10, at 8 p.m. This follows last year's "The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story" and the upcoming "The Unauthorized Full House Story," scheduled for Aug. 22.

"The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story" depicts the backstage drama behind the 1990-2000 Fox high-school series, on which Shannen Doherty, one of its ensemble stars, famously feuded with executive producer and co-creator Aaron Spelling. Additionally, as fellow star Jason Priestley told The Hollywood Reporter, "Various combinations of people slept with each other over the years."

Samantha Munro ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") plays Doherty, with Max Lloyd-Jones ("Switched at Birth") as Priestley. Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson, plays Spelling, and Abby Ross ("Once Upon a Time") his actress daughter, Tori Spelling. Also starring are Abbie Cobb as Jennie Garth, Jesy McKinney as Luke Perry, David Lennon as Ian Ziering, Michele Goyns as Gabrielle Carteris, Ross Linton as Brian Austin Green and Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani Thiessen.

Castellaneta and Adam Korson, who plays fellow "90210" creator Darren Star, also appear in "The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story," about that spinoff. Joining them are Ciara Hanna as Heather Locklear, Rebecca Dalton as Courtney Thorne-Smith, Frank Bailey as Andrew Shue, Ryan Bruce as Grant Show, Chloe McClay as Josie Bissett, Ali Cobrin as Daphne Zuniga, Teagan Vincze as Marcia Cross, Joseph Coleman as Doug Savant, Brandon Barash as Thomas Calabro, Karissa Tynes as Vanessa A. Williams, Chelsea Hobbs as Laura Leighton and Lanie McAuley as Amy Locane.
