Britney Spears will receive the Millennium Award (honoring a lengthy career in the music biz) at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards (Sunday, May 22, at 8 p.m. on ABC/7) and will also perform a medley of her greatest hits. Here are five other notable TV appearances by Spears:

THE FUTURE SUPERSTARS CLUB (1993-95) Spears, then 12, got her first major showbiz exposure on the Disney Channel’s “The New Mickey Mouse Club,” alongside fellow Mouseketeers Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and Christina Aguilera.

THE SNAKE AT THE MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS (2001) Performing “I’m a Slave 4 U,” Spears emerged from a cage with a white tiger by her side, then moved to the back of the stage a few minutes later to continue performing with a live python draped around her neck.

THE KISS AT THE MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS (2003) While performing “Hollywood” with Madonna, Missy Elliott and Aguilera, Spears (and we viewers) were shocked when Madge leaned over and proceeded to plant a big, fat, wet one on her lips.

THE REALITY SHOW (2005) “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic,” a critically savaged five-episode UPN show, chronicled her and then-hubby Kevin Federline’s relationship from their courtship, engagement and wedding.

THE ON-AIR MELTDOWN (2006) Matt Lauer interviewed Spears on “Dateline NBC” during a particularly stressful period of her life. “I’m an emotional wreck right now,” she said, tearing up. “I’m not perfect. I’m human.”
