One of the big pieces of cable's "TV Everywhere" initiative got picked up Wednesday by Cablevision -- HBO GO.
"TV Everywhere," as you may or may not know, is a so-called authentication system whereby subscribers can watch channels online, and HBO GO (as fans of "Game of Thrones," for instance, very much realize) has been one of the most coveted channels of them all.
Per the release from Cablevision, which owns Newsday:
[HBO subscribers can now] watch every episode of every season of the best HBO shows including current series like "Game of Thrones," "True Blood," and "Boardwalk Empire," classics like "The Sopranos," "Sex and the City" and "Deadwood," plus HBO original films, miniseries, sports, documentaries, and specials as well as a wide selection of blockbuster theatricals . . .
You need a Cablevision user name and password, and can get access either from HBOgo.com or via Optimum's website.
