"Charlie's Angels" -- the ham-handed remake with Minka Kelly -- is done. ABC has canceled the show after last night's desultory outing.
Word is coming down now via Twitter and other sources.
The networked confirmed the cancellation to the Associated Press late Friday. ABC told AP that four more episodes remain to be aired.
A surprise? Not on this planet. But it was a key part of ABC's retro strategy this fall -- with other shows devoted to Tim Allen and Pan Am. Unclear what will take its place, although the shows already produced will apparently air.
There have been a number of cancellations so far this season, but "CA" ranks as one of the biggest to fall. Other casualties include: "The Playboy Club," "Free Agents," and "How to Be a Gentleman."
