NEW YORK -- Rudy from "The Cosby Show" has grown up, andshe's about to show off her life on cable TV.
Oxygen said Wednesday that it's developing a reality show aboutactress Keshia Knight Pulliam and her live-in boyfriend, Atlantaarea entrepreneur Kaseem Penn. It will explore what it's like beingyoung, rich, single and co-habitating. No air date is set for theshow, titled "Keshia and Kaseem."
Come summer, Oxygen will premiere a series called "Dance YourAss Off." It'll be hosted by Marissa Jaret Winokur, who won a Tonyfor her performance in "Hairspray" as Tracy Turnblad, thefull-figure teen who yearns to dance on a TV show in 1960sBaltimore; she's also appeared on " Dancing With the Stars." Inthe Oxygen show, competitors try to show off their dancing skillsand lose weight -- sort of like "The Biggest Loser" with rhythm.
Since being bought by NBC Universal, Oxygen has been seeking anaudience of trendsetting women, generally aged 18 to 34. Its themeis "live out loud."
Oxygen's most visible stars are Tori Spelling and husband DeanMcDermott, who are filming the fourth season of their own realityseries based on their lives. The network announced a broaddevelopment deal with the pair to make a TV movie, a makeover showthat features the couple, and Web content based on Spelling's book"Mommywood."
The network will have two other new series later this year."Addicted to Beauty," called a "docu-comedy," is about thestaff of a plastic surgery facility in California. "The NaughtyKitchen with Chef Blythe Beck" follows the life of the29-year-old, Dallas-based chef.
