Katie Couric's new talk show, bowing Sept. 10, will devote its first month to women reinventing themselves -- like Katie -- but no Sarah Palin on this list. (Katie did ask her though.) One of the few male guests doesn't quite fit that bill, though he could be one of the more intriguing -- Amanda Knox boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito -- "who talks for the first time on American television about the murder case that made international headlines," according to the show. No date on his appearance, though I'm told via his literary agent that the date is Sept. 18.
Other guests: Jessica Simpson, Sheryl Crow...24-year-old Aimee Copeland, "a Georgia graduate student who this summer lost parts of all her limbs to a rare flesh-eating bacteria"; Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Susan Sarandon, Chelsea Handler, Sofia Vergara,"Shades of Grey's" E L James, Demi Lovato, Sharon and Lexie Love, "whose daughter and sister, Yeardley, was murdered two years ago by her ex-boyfriend at the University of Virginia" [that's Katie's alma mater, by the way]; motivational speaker Brené Brown, who apparently assumes a regular role on the show.
