Cowell's 'X Factor' Sets Auditions

Want to audition for Simon Cowell?


The Cranky One’s new Fox competition, “The X Factor,” has announced auditions for the show, which debuts this fall. The closest tryouts to LI will be held at Newark’s Prudential Center on April 14.


Some key differences from “American Idol”: The auditions include both solo acts and groups; there’s no upper age limit (contestants start at 12 years old; and contestant auditions will be held in front of an audience of thousands.
