Deandre Brackensick's work isn't done; Jermaine Jones bids a tearful farewell

Deandre Brackensick, he with the Yanni-style hair, is another one who auditioned last year but failed to make it to the semifinals. His falsetto rendition of “This Woman’s Work” is a song J.Lo says she’s been waiting for him to sing. He does her proud and earns a spot in the top 24 this year.

Meanwhile, the wait for judgment has been too much for deep-voiced Jermaine Jones, a self-admitted “mama’s boy,” who lets his emotions get the best of him before finally facing the three judges. And he has good reason to be sobbing. His performance of “I Believe in Love,” while heartfelt, isn’t strong enough to earn him a spot in the top 24.
