Devyn Rush, a singing waitress from Times Square, is up next on "American Idol." She has a good nature and is instantly likable. Sings "God Love the Child," in a totally mature, professional -sounding voice. She's in total control and seriously good.
Not easy melodically to listen to, but you can hear the talent. Steven Tyler, who's been much more clever and better than I thought he'd be, says "that was delicious." Randy says "you have a really good voice, and you have just the right amount of sauce in there -- you have a really good ear."
Jennifer Lopez wants her to spruce up her image and bring the total package. They put her through. She'll be there at the end, unless she gets swallowed up by the big personalities.
