A new zingy, zappy, zippy look for “ABC World News” last night -- with music by Hans Zimmer.

Thanks to Mediabistro for posting. The site notes that it's reminiscent of the old “Larry King Live” intro, but somehow I doubt ABC relishes the comparison.

ABC, by the way, has targeted “Nightly News” the same way it targeted “Today" -- chipping away at the lead until it is no more. Coincidental to this graphic overhaul (or not), ABC announced Tuesday morning that “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” is now just 42,000 viewers behind.
