'Dynasty' To Become a Movie

Today marks three important anniversaries in TV history: 45 years for “Batman,” 40 for “All in the Family” and 30 for “Dynasty.” Appropriately, the latter show — the most over-the-top of all 1980s prime-time soaps — is in the news today: there are plans afoot to make a big-screen “Dynasty” movie.

“Dynasty” creator Richard Shapiro says the idea is to do the movie as a kind of prequel to the series — it’ll be set in the “Mad Men”-era of the early 1960s and will show how Blake Carrington, the zillionaire oilman played by the late John Forsythe on the show, became a wealthy guy.

And we wonder immediately: Who would play the younger, hotter Alexis? Any thoughts?
