Fox News cuts Gingrich, Santorum

Interesting development at Fox News today: The network said it was "suspending" the contracts of two contributors (one of them key) because they were moving toward a presidential bid: Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.

This -- naturally -- raises the future of Sarah Palin, on board as a highly paid contributor who continues to play a cat-and-mouse game with the media over her presidential aspirations, and Mike Huckabee (who does not). Unclear what constitutes a serious interest in running. While Gingrich has indicated he'll form the requisite exploratory committee, Palin has only indicated she'd step in if no one else seems capable of taking the White House from the Democrats.
