'GMA:' Bob Woodruff on Gabrielle Giffords

Interesting piece this morning by Bob Woodruff on traumatic brain injuries, and recovery from them; aired on "Good Morning America" and I've posted on the jump. As you recall, Woodruff was nearly killed just weeks into his tenure as co-anchor of "World News Tonight" when an IED exploded in front of his convoy in Iraq. He suffered devastating injuries, nearly died, and was saved by the heroic - and miraculous - efforts of army field surgeons. He had a sizable portion of his skull removed because swelling had begun; I had thought of the horrors he went through when I heard about Gabrielle Giffords' miraculous survival, and am glad he's sharing his story here. You will be too...
