Kate's new show's a-comin even if her dancing days on "DWTS" are a-goin.
TLC will announce today (per USA Today) that "Twist of Kate" will launch this summer, latish.
It'll be about Kate and her mothering ways, and will be based fan letters, etc. (I really don't understand WHAT this is about.) It's all been expected but USA Today's Gary Levin has the details:
"In Twist of Kate, Gosselin will use fan letters from women inspired
by her story as the basis for profiles of women facing their own
challenges. Twelve episodes will start airing in late summer.
"I look at it as a loose concept," says Gosselin, who says that
despite rumors, she never contemplated dating or talk shows. "I
want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide
insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything."
Update: The Live Feed actually got some more details from the network, and this new show does look rather appalling after all...
"In each episode, she'll walk a mile in someone else's shoes --
meeting real families in the middle of their own extraordinary
challenges. She'll try out their jobs...see how their home life
runs... see what they're up against... and find out what they do to
let off steam. Each family will have some unique circumstance that
is a story in itself. As Kate gets to know them she'll roll up her
sleeves and see what she can do to help."
