"M*A*S*H" star Harry Morgan has died at 96. Clips below and please head here for a full appreciation.
There are few names in the long history of TV more associated with more shows than this one. He was one of the great prolific character actors, and his first credit -- simply ID'd as "Mouthy," in a World War II-era movie -- was in 1942.
There were hundreds of roles, and the best known-one -- Potter, of course, in "M*A*S*H" -- was actually followed by dozens more in the years after. "Dexter" to "Third Rock from the Sun" and even a voice on "The Simpsons," Morgan was truly a working actor who graced the small screen over the entire history of the medium. (His last credit was in 1999.)
