Heejun Han gets judges on their feet (and not in laughter) on 'American Idol'

Heejun Han next on "American Idol," singing Donny Hathaway's "A Song for You." Guest mentor Stevie Nicks and mentor Jimmy Iovine are both blown away by him in rehearsal, really like how he's vulnerable and taking it seriously. Nicks calls it "effortless."

Wow, he's just fantastic from the get-go: strong, heartfelt and going for it all, not hiding behind his usual act. The crowd is shrieking at every pause. His beautiful tone is on full display, great sense of timing too; hitting all the big notes. We're having a moment -- perfect song choice, and he really put his heart out there.

Judges give him a standing ovation, Randy Jackson is just beaming. It's so rare on this show that contestants actually take criticism to heart and change and get better; he just did it, and it's what everyone is going to remember from tonight.

"You turned it around," says Steven Tyler. "You keep believing in yourself... that was great." Jennifer Lopez said it "was the most beautiful tone, the most beautiful vibrato... when you connect and you sing to us, you really move people."

Jackson says not perfect, but "finally the Heejun that we selected came back to us, welcome back!"
