Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh, Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet are all on stage as "American Idol" cuts to its final three.

Like most people I'm thinking Cavanagh will be gone; but first the judges take turns praising each of them. It really is a fantastic final four, in 11 years of watching of watching the show there's never been a more vocally talented group at this stage, and they're all so different.

And first one into the final three is... Sanchez! Second person in is... Ledet! And then they go to break. Afterward, the last person named is... Phillips! I'd have rather have had Cavanagh make it, but Phillips has built too big of a fan base.

Cavanagh's grown more than any other finalist this season. She started out suffering from stage fright, overthinking everything, wanting so badly to please the judges and the audience.

But halfway through the finals, helped by positive reinforcement from the judges and some canny song choices, she found her voice and soared. The last few weeks I've consistently had her in the top three.

She has an unreal vocal ability, nice personality and a deep drive. Not to mention that unique half Texan/half British accent of hers.

Hope this isn't the last we've heard of her.
