TMZ's reporting that the cast of "Jersey Shore" -- with the exception of Ronnie, who I guess is so beat up after the Sammi wars he doesn't have heart to go on fighting with anyone -- is holding out.
How much? The website doesn't say, but let's see: Italy? That's going to be awfully hard on the gang, with travel and a foreign language. Surely that's worth another $20,000 per episode. That the cast is paid anything remains one of the great jokes of the modern age -- a farce for viewers, MTV, and the rest of the sane world. But paid they are, and they still can't act.
Meanwhile, what's intriguing here is the belief per TMZ that some of 'em think the gravy train is rolling into the last stop, so now is the time to get what they can. Believe me when I say this: If 8 million people continue to watch "Jersey Shore," MTV will make it go on until the mountains melt into the sea.
