With Joshua Ledet doing Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come" to close "American Idol," we could get a special moment.
He starts with emotion right away; this is a deeply meaningful song, and he gets that. He's keeping the voice in check, starting to let it loose as the song goes on. Just floats nicely on the chorus; winding it up strong.
No moment for me, but well-done -- judges stand and give him an ovation.
"Your voice just climbs inside of everybody and changes them for that moment," says Steven Tyler.
Jennifer Lopez says, "please America, don't send this boy home! Just love you." Randy Jackson calls it "a perfect song for you," likes how he took his time with it; "stellar."
Jackson then adds, "I think the talent this season is better than any show on TV!" Funny, years past he would never have had to say that; "Idol" was the undisputed king.
