Sebastian Junger -- whose superb "Restrepo" nearly won an Oscar, later aired on the National Geographic Channel -- tells the LA Times he's done with the front line. No great surprise, after the death of colleague Tim Hetherington in Libya, but a blow to the treacherous and vital craft of war reporting.
Said he to the Times:
"I'm not going to do any more frontline reporting because I don't want to put my wife through what I went through with Tim. It was a very obvious thought to come to in the wake of all this. Tim's death made war reporting feel like a selfish endeavor."
