Young Katie Stevens is up next on "American Idol," in a wildly-patterned cream dress splattered with purple, which is an odd choice, I think. They show a great video of when she was eight, performing "At This Moment" with her bro at their aunt's wedding.
Singing "Wild Horses," it's very dramatic start where she's spotlit on a stool, you kind of can't stop looking at her. It's definitely not hip or contemporary, but a big voice, and a bit hypnotic. She definitely sounds much older that her age. It's nothing spectacular, but this was going to be a tough week for her and she's not bad.
Randy said you sang it really well, a strong performance. Ellen says a bit pitchy at the start, but then your great voice took over, good choice. Kara says good talent, better than last week. Simon liked it, says only week that you've made a good choice with the song, but thinks the emotion went away a bit in the second half.
