Kree Harrison heads home to Texas next on "American Idol." Her parents both died when she was in her teens; so it's "bittersweet" as her sister says while they visit her old house where she grew up.
Then off to a rodeo, where she rides a mechanical bull. Sings a song about staying strong at her concert, which seems to be in front of a huge crowd.
Doing Rascal Flatts' "Here Comes Goodbye." Nice pick by the judges for her, fits her voice well and lets her convey emotion. It's the best she's sounded in weeks; compelling yet relaxed. A classic Kree performance, almost like it's a summer night and we're at the county fairgrounds listening to her.
Nicki Minaj praises "how much strength you have to have to be this young and not have parents." Tells her, "you sang it like a pro, this was one of your best performances to date because you felt every word."
Randy Jackson says flat out, "we love all of you, this is one of the best top three we've ever had on 'Idol.'" Calls it "brilliant" how she emotionally connected with the audience. Mariah Carey can't believe she made it through the song so well after watching the video of her visit home, says she's "overwhelmed with emotion."
Keith Urban calls it "the perfect song for you," finishes with, "you had me from beginning to end."
