Liev Schreiber -- who's good in everything he's ever been in and most likely ever will be -- was on "Late Show with David Letterman" last night, talking about: Kids, career, imbecilic Internet speculation (is there any other type?) and the city he misses most. But what was interesting here was a brief discussion about the future of "Ray Donovan," which just earned a second season and continues to do very well for Showtime.

To wit: He'd like the series to relocate to New York City, where he lives. Maybe he was just half serious, but I think not. "Donovan" would actually prosper in NYC; it's all just a bit too airless and inconsequential in Los Angeles. (Not a slight against LA -- just an observation about the moronic clients Donovan always has to rescue.)

Take a look.
