Marg Helgenberger, one of the rocks of "CSI," finally pulled up stakes last night, and in the conclusion of a two-part episode -- SPOILER ALERT! -- said that she would -- .ANOTHER  -- oh enough already -- take that gig with the FBI.

And so it goes. Here's my appreciation from Monday, if you have not yet seen it.

I avoided an actual review of last night's exit simply because I wanted to do more of a "CSI" tenure overview than something specific to that episode. It was, in truth, a bit disappointing, a plot that was so fabulous, so over the top, so silly, that it suggested loudly and clearly that "CSI" may be huffing and puffing on fumes. It happens to most shows that have been on the air so long.

Meanwhile, here's a piece from CBSPressexpress. Worth watching.
