Based on the 1983 movie chestnut, which was inspired by the stories of Jean Shepherd, “A Christmas Story” centers on young Ralphie Parker and his mission to get a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas.

Broderick plays the grown-up version of Ralphie as he recollects the events leading up to that Christmas in 1940s Indiana. Shepherd voiced the role of the narrator in the film.
