Michael Lynche goes from 'pussycat to a lion' on 'American Idol'

Crystal Bowersox was taken to the hospital, so in a last-minute change the top 10 guys sing Billboard hits first on "American Idol."  Michael Lynche leads off, and tells us in addition to football, theater was huge in his life. He benches 505. Wow!

Singing "This is a Man's World," he's in black, suit and all. Wow, good choice. Very commanding from the get-go, and soulful. A bit boring for me, not electric; but everyone's listening to him and his big voice fills the room. Very confident, too. And a strong final line.

Randy stands up for the first ovation of the season, "R&B star right there." Ellen talks in circles a bit, winds up calling it "fantastic." Kara says you busted out tonight, could be "a great artist." Simon says you went from "being a pussycat to a lion in one week."

Mike tells Ryan they found out at 10 a.m. guys would go first this week.
