For the fifth year running — which includes a tie last year — “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara is the highest-paid TV actress on Forbes magazine’s annual list.

Vergara, 44, who plays glamorous Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the five-time Emmy Award-winning outstanding comedy series, earned an estimated $43 million between June 2015 and June 2016, Forbes said. The magazine attributed endorsement and licensing deals with Head and Shoulders shampoo, the Rooms to Go furniture-store chain and other companies for the actress’ jump from last year’s $28.5 million, which had tied her with Kaley Cuoco of the sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.”

The 30-year-old Cuoco, in second place this year, was down slightly at $24.5 million, virtually all of it from her role as Penny in the CBS comedy, for which each star earned a reported $1 million per episode. “The Mindy Project” star-producer-creator Mindy Kaling, 37, came in at No. 3 with $15 million, both from the show and from book deals. Mariska Hargitay, 52, of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and Ellen Pompeo, 46, of “Grey’s Anatomy” tied for No. 4 with $14.5 million each.

Vergara’s castmate, Neutrogena spokeswoman and two-time Emmy Award-winning comedy supporting actress Julie Bowen, 46, comes in at No. 10, with $10 million.

The list’s estimates are compiled using data from Nielsen Media Research, the websites Box Office Mojo and IMDB, and conversations with managers, producers, lawyers and others.
