PRIDE AND PREJUDICE: KEEPSAKE EDITION

Miniseries How many times can A&E rerelease its beloved '90s miniseries with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle? As many times as fans pony up. Initial 1998 DVD release was followed by 2001's Special Edition, 2006's book-size 10th Anniversary Collector's Set, and 2010's Restored Edition, which also arrived on Blu-ray. ("P&P" was in The Jane Austen Collection box, too.) Now comes the two-disc Keepsake Edition, boasting fresh bonus features. Can a 20th-anniversary set be far behind?

Extras Four new featurettes (50 minutes total) include "The Definitive P&P Featurette," saluting the adaptation's faithfulness to Austen's novel, 200 years old last year; also examined are the show's music and 19th century mores. Retained from previous releases: location visit, half-hour on period drama revival, more.

List price $20 DVD/$30 Blu-ray, out today from A&E.

Also new:

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS (Spanish audio/English subtitles). Rafael Amaya stars in Telemundo's big telenovela -- highflying Mexican drug lord vs. special forces agent -- all 74 episodes in two sets: six-disc Vol. 1 also goes behind-the-scenes, eight-disc Vol. 2 adds cast interviews; $30 per volume, Universal.
