'Nightly News' wake-up call

Do not adjust your dial. Do not be alarmed, either -- even though that is an alarm. "Nightly News with Brian Williams" had a curious edition last night, beset -- or bedeviled -- by a persistent fire alarm that insisted there was a fire when there was not.

Sort of like that alarm that goes off in your kitchen when you're only trying to fry an egg.

Williams took it like a pro: "Thanks for your cooperation," he said to close the show. Not quite "And that's the way it is," but still memorable. 

Meanwhile, this clip actually has a banner ad for a fire alarm company! Probably not the same fire alarm company that supplied NBC News...
