It's the talk show issue that never seems to fade away - but just keeps getting rehashed every time Rosie O'Donnell sits for another interview.
"I think I scared her," O'Donnell said.
"Yes, I regret that moment because I think no one has spoken to her like that in decades; she's been a little like the Queen," she added.
O'Donnell also spoke of her split with longtime partner, Kelli Carpenter, with whom she was raising four children. "I think that what you want at 30 . . . is very different than what you want when you're 40. A lot of things sort of changed and shifted," she explained.
The pair, who were married for five years, found negotiating their new life a challenge. "[Kelli] lives nearby - and not close enough," says Rosie. "I wanted her to live in the same town and she was like, 'I don't know how good that's gonna be for me.' "
Now O'Donnell has found a new love in Tracy Kachtick-Anders, who has six children of her own. "I felt like I knew her right away," O'Donnell said of her new partner. She also said they plan to move in together in the near future and combine their families.
