Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk or Howard Beach's Pia Toscano are about to get kicked off "American Idol." Obviously it's a travesty if it's anyone other than Stefano.
I mean, even his most ardent fan must realize he's nowhere near the same league as Jacob and Pia, who have been my two favorite finalists this season as well as the favorite of most critics....
And Ryan sends Jacob back to safety, after faking him out with "you will be leaving us ... and going to safety on the couches."
And it's ... Pia. Oh my gosh. Nobody can believe it. "I'm shocked, I'm angry, I don't even know what to say," says Jennifer Lopez.
"I'm never upset on this show and I'm never mad," says Randy Jackson. before saying that tonight he is. And Steven Tyler rips America for not keeping her on.
Nobody saw this coming. It's probably one of the worst decisions ever on this show, and in terms of shock value it ranks among the wildest ever. She's never even been in the bottom three.
And the judges dumbly used their stupid save a few weeks ago on Casey Abrams! They also contributed to this with all their happy talk last night. When you praise everyone, you're hurting the truly talented ones.
She sings "I'll Stand By You" as her farewell, and my gosh -- Stefano stays?! Haley?! Paul?! Casey?!
None of them can hold a candle to her. She's sobbing as the show closes.
