Roslyn-reared J.P. Rosenbaum, who became engaged to Ashley Hebert on "The Bachelorette" season seven and married her in 2012, told Newsday Wednesday he is having a "Dad-chelor" party with friends and family Saturday to celebrate the upcoming birth of the couple's first child.

"Ashley and I have been lucky enough to have had a couple of baby showers thrown for us, but as with wedding showers, I think those may be a bit more fun for her than me!" Rosenbaum, 37, said by email. His "Dad-chelor" party at the W Hotel in Manhattan "is the male equivalent," he said.

Not surprisingly -- since he and Hebert, 30, were married in a two-hour ABC special -- the private event has a sponsor, Mike's Hard Lemonade, which Rosenbaum said had approached him about doing the party, from which he will be tweeting and Instagraming.

Hebert, a dentist, "is enjoying the rest of her pregnancy and will take a few months off after the baby is born" around October, Herricks High alumnus Rosenbaum said. "After that, it's back to work, either at an established practice or on her own." The couple moved to Miami two weeks ago, though, "I still have a lot of work to do up in New York" for the development and finance firm Greystone & Co., he said.

As for ABC's stunt on last month's "Bachelorette" special, "The Men Tell All" -- in which an ultrasound machine "revealed" they are having a boy, though the couple had already announced the baby's gender in April -- Rosenbaum says, with a smiley-face emoticon, "I have no idea what you're talking about!"
