'MasterChef' eliminates LI's Frank Mirando

KITCHEN'S CLOSED. Holbrook's Frank Mirando, one of the four "MasterChef" finalists, was eliminated last week, leaving blind grad student Christine Ha, U.S. Army Contract Specialist Josh Marks and food photographer Becky Reams competing on the two-part season finale, airing tomorrow and then Monday, Sept. 10, at 9 p.m. each night on Fox. "My experience on 'MasterChef' was one of the most incredible things I've ever done," Mirando tells Newsday. As for the future, "I am writing a business plan for an exotic sausage grill and lounge."

Also: Hicksville's Theresa Caputo returns for season three of TLC's "Long Island Medium" with back-to-back episodes Sunday at 9 and 9:30 p.m.

PREMIERES. The new season of "American Chopper" revs up tonight at 9 p.m. on Discovery . . . Jeff Lewis and company are "Flipping Out" for a sixth season on Bravo tomorrow night at 9, while at 10 there's a "Beverly Hills Nannies" reunion special on ABC Family . . . "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera" returns for season six Saturday at 9 p.m. on WE . . . and that same night at 10, TLC premieres "Breaking Amish," about five Amish and Mennonite youths living in New York City.

RECAPS. "America's Got Talent" chose musician and inventor William Close, standup comic Tom Cotter and sand-story artist Joe Castillo as the first season-seven finalists . . . Will Thomas and Lindsay Arnold were cut from "So You Think You Can Dance" . . . Evicted from "Bachelor Pad" were Kalon McMahon and Lindzi Cox, and from "Big Brother," Britney Haynes . . . Barbie Marshall is no longer cooking in "Hell's Kitchen," nor Art Smith on "Top Chef Masters" . . . boxer Laila Ali was dismissed from "Stars Earn Stripes" . . . and C.C. Childs is off "Face Off."
