Westbury-born actress Nancy McKeon, who had been competing on the 27th season of "Dancing With the Stars" with a broken foot, was eliminated from the competition Monday night.
McKeon, 52, and her professional-dancer partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, 32, were among the bottom two teams of combined judges’ scores and viewers' votes, along with R&B singer Tinashe and partner Brandon Armstrong. After the elimination, the season’s third, McKeon was too emotional to speak more than a few barely audible words when co-host Erin Andrews asked if the actress wanted to talk about her partner or the experience as the final credits rolled.
The night's theme had been Most Memorable Year, with the former "The Facts of Life" star dancing a rumba keyed to 2006, when McKeon and husband Mark Andrus had their second child, daughter Harlow.
"I couldn’t be more proud," tweeted Chmerkovskiy of McKeon after the show aired.
