With the specter of deportation looming over reality-TV star Joe Giudice, his wife Teresa has spoken publicly for the first time since Wednesday's immigration-court ruling.

On Sunday Teresa Giudice, 46, a "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star in her own right, posted an Instagram image of the Statue of Liberty sobbing, accompanied by a comment of four hands-in-prayer emoji. Then on Monday, she posted an image of herself and the couple's 17-year-old eldest daughter, visiting a college, writing, "Taking it one day at a time, with my beautiful Gia checking out @rutgersu."

Two of the couple's four daughters, Gia and 12-year-old Milania, also posted Instagram messages Sunday supporting their father, who is serving a 41-month sentence on a 2014 fraud conviction. He is scheduled for release on March 14 and, according to last week's ruling, deportation would follow.

"My father is no threat to society he is one of the most warm hearted people I know, he would never harm a soul," Gia wrote, adding, "My father did his time and learned from his mistakes. Isn't being in there supposed to make you realize your mistakes so you can become a better person? And that's exactly what my father did. . . . We have so many plans to do as a family when he gets out. I need my father to be here. My father belongs with us and his entire family…."

Wrote Milania, "My dad, who is the best dad in the world, needs to come home. We aren't done fighting dad. I can't believe this is happening. I can't imagine another day without you. We are gonna do everything we can to fight this daddy!!…."

Born in Italy, Joe Giudice, 48, has lived in New Jersey since age 1 without becoming a U.S. citizen. He has until Nov. 9 to appeal.

In March 2014, Joe and Teresa Giudice each pleaded guilty to one count of mail and wire fraud and three counts of bankruptcy fraud. Joe Giudice additionally pleaded guilty to one count of failing to file a tax return. The two served their sentences consecutively so that one parent could be home for their children. In addition to Gia and Milania, the couple have daughters Gabriella, 14, and Audriana, 9.

After Teresa Giudice completed her sentence in February 2016, Joe Giudice entered the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey, the following month. In November 2017, he was ordered to be transferred to the Allenwood, Pennsylvania, penitentiary for immigration hearings, which are prohibited at Fort Dix.
