According to a new report on The Wrap, an individual with knowledge of Fox’s plans said all four judges - Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban -  and producer Nigel Lithgoe will not have their contracts renewed for season 13 of “American Idol.”

Fox feels that the show has lost its core audience, and they want it back.

Big salaries for divas will also be a thing of the past.

It is also rumored that the show’s format will change with the elimination of theme nights.

The show won’t be cancelled as it is still a huge revenue generator for Fox, bringing in $836.4 million in ad revenue last year.

"Idol"  is facing major competition from NBC’s “The Voice,” now in its fourth season.

The Voice” recently crossed a milestone when it beat "Idol" in both total viewers and the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic.

"The Voice" also took "Idol's" spot in the Emmy race last year, replacing it among the nominees in the Outstanding Reality Competition category.
