Either Erika Van Pelt or Shannon Magrane will be sent home on "American Idol" as they cut to their top 10. I hope it's not Magrane, she was quite good last night.

It turns out Van Pelt is safe, so Magrane gets to sing for her life. The judges could still use their save on her but I don't think they will -- it's too early in the season for that; but we'll see what happens.

She performed "One Sweet Day" again. She was definitely nervous; but I'm telling you, she can sing, with a lot of power and conviction in her voice.

She was good, but not great. Randy Jackson said they wouldn't be using the save, so she's gone.

I think the voters got this one wrong; Van Pelt or Elise Testone should've gone home first.
