Stone Cold Steve Austin, who definitely has one of the best names in WWE history and is someone who I will only make extremely complimentary remarks about for reasons too obvious to spell out, will be the host of that new WWE reality show called . . . wait a sec . . . lemme just pull up the release . . . oh yeah: "WWE Tough Enough." I know next to nothing about this April launch, which will air behind USA's "Monday Night Raw," but I'm sure it will be great because Steve will host.
Austin, as you are aware, was a WWE champion several hundred times, lost the title (seemingly to the Rock) several hundred times, and then went into acting, because how many times can you win that belt, after all? A few TV cameos, and some big screen roles. Oscars should have been given out. They were not. I don't know what the matter with the Oscar people is...
The canned quote followed by a walk down memory lane . . .
"I am very excited about the opportunity to work with my old friends at WWE on WWE TOUGH ENOUGH. Sports entertainment has always been an important part of my life and I look forward to finding the next generation of WWE superstar," Austin said.
