Interesting roster for “Survivor: Philippines,” bowing Sept. 25, most notably Jeff Kent, the standout second baseman for the Dodgers and Giants -- and a few OK seasons with the early '90s Mets; and Lisa Whelchel, best known as Blair Warner from “The Facts of Life.” Her career pretty much began and ended with “FOL;” she's a born-again Christian who left show biz for the ministry after the series ended (there were, yes, a couple of other acting credits, including a reunion, but nothing of major significance).

Plus this: Three former cast members who had to leave the series in seasons past for medical reasons will also be on the show. They'll be announced later this week, per CBS. Here's the lineup preceded by this clip:

Sarah Dawson, 28, Silver Spring, Md., insurance sales; Abi-Maria Gomes, 32, Los Angeles, business student; Malcolm Freberg, 25; bartender; Katie Hanson, 22, Newark, Del., former Miss Delaware; Roberta “RC” Saint-Amour, 27, investment banker; Zane Knight, 28, tire repair; Jeff Kent, 44, Austin, former baseball player; Artis Silvester, 53, Terry Town, La., computer engineer; Angie Layton, 20, Provo, student; Dana Lambert, 32, Winston-Salem, cosmetologist; Lisa Whelchel, Dallas, former TV teen star; Roxanne “Roxy” Morris, 28, seminary student; Carter Williams, 24, Shawnee, Kans., Iowa track coach; Peter “Pete” Yurkowski, 24, Holmdel, N.J., engineering graduate; Denise Stapley, 41, Cedar Rapids, sex therapist.
