'The Voice' is about to fill NBC's schedule

How do you spell "Overkill?" (Oh, right - O-V-E-R-K-I-L-L). NBC is about to stuff its schedule with the surging "Voice" in an attempt to bury "American Idol" (though they don't go head-to-head) and grab the network a rare May sweeps win.

Bottom line:  Live episodes, beginning April 2, will air 8 to 10 p.m., followed by a second night of elimination, on Tuesdays, 9-10 p.m.; the finale will air  May 7, over 24 hours. . .

Kidding. But who knows, maybe not.

Then this! "America's Got Talent" -- and Howard Stern -- will launch over four hours on May 13 and 14!

Show settles back to an hour a night on Mondays and Tuesdays the following week.

Hard to blame NBC: It's got a hit in "The Voice" but how much is too much?
