Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato have made their way to Long Island.
Newsday are at the Nassau Coliseum, along with Cowell, Lovato and new judges Kelly Rowland and Paulia Rubio, plus legions of "X Factor" hopefuls returning for round two of the TV talent show auditions.
The judges were not present when producers vetted more than 16,000 contestants during the first Long Island auditions at the Coliseum in late April, before Rowland and Rubio were named to the panel. That turnout was the largest in the show's history, causing producers to book an extra day of auditions.
This week's tryouts, running Wednesday through Friday, are open to the public, but require advance tickets. Singers in this round could appear on the show when "The X Factor" season 3 airs this fall.
