Greenburgh police are looking for a man who raped a woman early Wednesday at a Tarrytown hotel.

The incident happened a little after 1 a.m. in the victim's room at the Westchester Marriott at 670 White Plains Rd., Sgt. Robert Whiting said in a statement Thursday.

The attacker was a visitor to the room, police said.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, suffered facial bruises and cuts on her neck and was treated at the scene by Greenburgh police EMS personnel before being brought to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for treatment, police said.

The attacker is described as Hispanic, in his mid-30s, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-8, with a medium build, dark complexion and very dark hair combed forward, police said. He has a scar on his temple and a mole on the left side of his face near the jawline, and has several tattoos on his arms, police said.

He was wearing a tan jacket on Wednesday with a hood, jeans and dark boots, police said. Surveillance photos and video captured the attacker entering the lobby and heading down the hall.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Greenburgh detectives at 914-682-5331. All calls will be kept confidential.
