Judge issues gag order in Annabi corruption trial

MANHATTAN - The judge in former Yonkers Councilwoman Sandy Annabi's corruption trial issued a gag order prohibiting attorneys in the trial from talking with the media.

Annabi is on trial for allegedly accepting bribes to change her vote while on the city council for things such as the controversial Ridge Hill development project.

In the courtroom, prosecutors called a real estate attorney to the stand who testified that a $7,200 down payment deposit on a home purchased by Annabi was drawn on funds given to her by former Yonkers Republican party chair Zehy Jereis, who is also on trial in the corruption case.
