Keep Islip Clean Club recycles sports equipment

Ever wonder what to do with old sports equipment? The fifth- and seventh-graders in the Keep Islip Clean Club are learning about pollution and trying to make our carbon footprint smaller.

The Keep Islip Clean Club decided to collect this stuff during our usual shoe drive. We figured there are many people who can use the equipment we no longer use or need.

All the used sports equipment will go to our soldiers in Afghanistan. They will accept baseball bats, gloves, baseballs, soccer balls, footballs, lacrosse sticks and other sports equipment.

Remember to recycle as much as you can.
