A buyer for a show house in Sag Harbor

Looks like the 2010 Hampton Designer Showhouse has a buyer. Owner-agent Frank Bodenchak of Saunders & Associates has confirmed the Sag Harbor home is in contract. It was listed for $5.25 million in July. The postmodern-style manse has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a 50-foot pool with hot tub - and even its own movie theater. The 9,000-square-foot home sits on 4.7 acres and is surrounded by 62 acres of protected land. - CATHY MAHON

There's another price break in the Hamptons, this time on Town Line Road in Sagaponack. The 3-acre property is now priced at $14.995 million. It hit the market at $17.75 million earlier this year. The property includes land (once owned by businessman Ronald Lauder) as well as a planned 11,600-square-foot, 10-room traditional home designed by architect Francis Fleetwood. Listing agent Susan Breitenbach of The Corcoran Group says all the permits for the home are firmly in place. Once built, the home will include a formal dining room, a library, an exercise room and wraparound porches, all with views of an agricultural preserve. - LAURA MANN

Owning a home on Further Lane in star-studded East Hampton would be paradise for a celebrity stalker - and this home, on the market for $4.9 million, was tailor-made for one: It belonged to the late writer James Brady. The ritzy locale gave Brady endless fodder for his work, which included writing Parade magazine's In Step With column, helping to create the New York Post's Page Six gossip column and penning novels such as "A Hamptons Christmas." "James was a local icon around town. . . . The stories were wonderful," says Sarah Minardi of Saunders & Associates, who is co-listing the property with Nan Shipley. - KRISTIN TAVEIRA
