MOVIE MARATHONS Now that Turner Classic Movies' Oscar month is over, in-depth tributes are back. George Lucas, Martin Scorsese and other American filmmakers always admit their debt to dynamic Japan director Akira Kurosawa, who would have turned 100 this month. Films from the master's 60-year career unreel Tuesdays in March: It starts with 1951's lyrical "Ikiru" and Kurosawa's "Macbeth"-inspired "Throne of Blood" (Tuesday at 8 and 10:30 p.m., TCM), and culminates March 23 with a 24-hour marathon that includes all-time classics "The Seven Samurai," "Yojimbo" and "Rashomon." Also, TCM's Friday night offers a '50s monster mash, starting with stop-motion effects king Ray Harryhausen's "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" and "It Came From Beneaththe Sea" (Friday at 8 and 9:30 p.m., TCM).
