A new camp offering at A La Carte Cooking School in Lynbrook aims to bring kids together by learning about other cultures through cooking.
Called “Junior Chef Unity Week Summer Camp,” the four-day program will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16-19 and will focus on the foods from areas such as the United States’ Deep South and Morocco. “With all the craziness that’s going on, I thought it would be a fun concept,” says owner Polly Talbott. “We’ve selected a whole array of different foods.”
