The Adventure Park at Long Island opens April 8 for the 2016 season and is adding a new feature: online reservations. When reserved customers arrive at the park, a spot will be waiting.

“The public has been asking for this and we listened,” John Hines, Adventure Park partner, said in a news release. “We want the same thing our customers want: to get them into their treetop fun when they want it, as quickly and smoothly as possible.”

The Adventure Park offers aerial treetop trails with zip lines mixed with challenge bridges at 75 Colonial Springs Rd. in Wheatley Heights. A variety of color-coded trails — beginner through expert — lets climbers match their age or climbing experience.

Reservations may be made 24 hours a day at the park’s website, where the reservations link is marked in bright orange. After clicking on it, the visitor will see a grid showing available activities at the park with times to select. The customer receives a confirmation email and everything should be ready when they arrive at the park: their reserved starting time, their reserved safety harness and climbing instruction and their reserved adventure in the treetops.

The Adventure Park at Long Island is designed, built and operated by Outdoor Ventures in cooperation with Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds. For hours, pricing and further details and updates, visit or call 631-983-3844.
